Romantic Bedroom Idea #3: Accentuate. This is another important part of the task: details. Now that your bedroom is squeaky clean, it is time to place a couple of romantic articles all over the place. Have some fresh flowers in a classy vase and place it on your dresser. Make sure that you always replace the flowers. Put some scented candles on your side table and in the drawer ready to be of service whenever needed. Have some sensual music ready to be played anytime. Do not forget your favorite scented oil too! Ensure that you have your massage paraphernalia ready to be stashed whenever called for.
Space, if your child is not afraid of the dark, a space theme can be a real winner. A black, dark blue or deep purple base color, decorated with stars, planets and space rockets can be really evocative of the theme in question. It is even possible to get non-toxic glow in the dark paint for the stars, so that they are still visible even when the light is turned off. If you are precise, you can decorate the stars in the patterns of real constellations, so that your child will become familiar with and comfortable with the night sky outside.
Painting simple murals is a way that you can really bring in a lot of color. This does not have to be complicated. You could just paint your childs name on the wall with kind of a graffiti effect. Each letter could be a different color. This can be a great graphic element that can really grow with your child. It is a chance to bring in a lot of colorful oranges and greens and make a basic white background interesting. It is a way to combine a color palette that you do not really see a lot of. However, when you do this it can be difficult to find coordinating fabric elements so you might just need to go with solid colors for these.
If you are feeling creative, you can paint a mural on one of the walls. The mural does not have to look like a fine art painting, a simplified picture of a castle with banners flying would go a long way to give the room a magical feeling. Take a look at your childs coloring or story books for pictures you could use. If painting is not your thing, you may be able to find a wallpaper mural or border with a princess theme.
