If your kid wants to redecorate their bedroom, it is nice to let them have a degree of input into how they would like their bedroom to look. However, it is also a sensible idea to keep a reign on their ideas, so that they do not run wild with them. As a parent, you can help to guide your kids bedroom ideas, whilst preventing them from becoming unmanageable. As the "keeper of the coin", it is also a good idea to think about what is an affordable idea. Here are some easy to achieve kids bedroom ideas:
Remember you are working with a teenager and not a child so bedroom ideas should reflect that. During the teen years preferences will change and it may be hard to keep up with what is in and what is out. Having an area to study, or to just relax and read a book is a great idea for your teenager bedroom. Giving your teenager a space in her bedroom to listen to music and take time to herself is great. You can also include a computer for her to do homework if you would like. This is something that you should only do if you feel she is responsible enough to handle it. Giving your teenager too much responsibility at once can cause her to become lost. Allowing your teenager to help come up with bedroom ideas will help the process immensely.
Everyone knows that a princess lives in luxury, so that is the look you need to go for, but hopefully not at a luxurious price! If you can sew, look for fabrics like velvet, satin, lace, and eyelet in your childs favorite colors. You can use these fabrics to make extra full curtains as well as pillows. If you do not sew, look for pre-made accessories in coordinating colors. Make sure to have lots of pillows in various fabrics, sizes and colors. Great princess curtains are thick and full, with lots of extra fabric to work with.
How hard can it be to think of boys bedroom decorating ideas? We just need a little dirt and perhaps a puppy right? Perhaps he would like a large tank and some army figures floating down the wall with their parachutes. Complete the look with a camouflage border surrounding the room and you have a complete theme. Maybe even a super hero to watch over their toys and guard their secrets. When they are young they might want a fire truck or Thomas the train.
