Make sure you know which color palette you want to use as the right color scheme can greatly enhance any room to make it truly pleasing to the eyes. Every color has various shades and you need to find one that is not disturbing to look at when you retire for the night. Try to avoid strong colors such as reds or other dark shades, and instead go for pastels, such as light blue, green or even white or cream shades. Use a rustic country shelf as a wall accent. You can purchase wooden shelves with peg hooks at your local crafts store for next to nothing. For a complimentary design, paint your shelf in a warm white hue and lightly sand the edges to give it a worn rugged look. Add a personalized sign to one wall for a classic touch. It is easy to locate old wood pieces or old wood fence pieces that can be used as room accents.
