The bedspread can be bought to match the curtains either in color, material or both. They can be purchased in a combo so that you have the same pillows, sheets and spreads to give your bed a stylish and warm touch. While the curtains do not have to be changed based on the seasons, the bedspreads can be easily adjusted for the warmer or colder temperatures. Also the colors can match the room ambient quite well.
Once you have found a piece with a bit of character, purchase some thin lasso rope and use it to write your child is name in cursive on the sign. Be sure to use a glue that is appropriate for a proper bond between the rope and wood. Let your child create their own room accents with custom artwork. Help your child surf the internet for their favorite cowboy and western photos. Print them out on your home printer and then help your child frame the pictures in vintage or rustic picture frames. Another idea is to shop your local antique stores for cowboy posters or cowboy and western wall hangings.
When it comes to the carpet, it should be also easily matching the rest of the decor items in the room. Usually a neutral carpet will work very well with any type of room decor. However it is important to get a carpet with a material that is stain resistant and quite thick. This is particularly important if the color is rather light.
Mix-it-Up Wall Art - Instead of purchasing seven pieces of wall art depicting various princesses for your little girl is room, try alternating her favorite scenes with colorful patterns and educational art. Large wall maps are educational as well as a great artwork centerpiece to give symmetry to smaller works. Try centering your main art on the wall and positioning the smaller pieces around it in a fun pattern. A truly unique girl might love her initials spelled out with her art pieces- two ways to express her identity on the same wall!
