A blue bedroom feels far more gender-neutral (though it could be simply because of the way society has programmed us for years) and blue as a color is better at calming nerves and inducing sleep than pink. Pastel blues easily combine with lighter shades of gray and off-white giving you greater freedom when it comes to choosing the color scheme of the bedroom. If you are really in the mood to try out something unique, then a monochromatic bedroom filled with pastel blues or different shades of mint green is a fun project to try out. Of course, adding simpler pastel accents to your existing bedroom is a far easier affair. But it simply lacks the flamboyance of bedrooms draped in pastels.
Yellows and oranges can help with happiness, energy and concentration. Too much of these colors cause anxiety and restlessness, however, so use in moderation. Try using them in accents. They can help you absorb the necessary energy to have a great attitude after you wake up! Choose hues that you like and apply the principles used in Feng Shui bedroom colors to enjoy deep, relaxing sleep.
