Whether you choose beautiful yellow bedding and throw pillows, stylish table lamps in golden yellow, drapes in daffodil yellow or even a dashing rug in canary, make sure that you repeat this accent hue elsewhere, and keep the backdrop as muted as possible for the best visual impact. Throw in Some Red! This sounds like too much color in one room, you say? Not really, as the inspirations below showcase ever so elegantly! While combining blue and yellow with a splattering of red might seem a bit overwhelming in theory, the three colors seem to work in perfect harmony when used intelligently.
It is a scientifically proven fact that you need sleep in order to be as productive as possible. More than that, you need sleep that is deep, relaxing and restorative. Without that kind of sleep you will lack concentration, become irritable, and overall be unable to function the way that you should in your everyday life. In order to get the best quality of sleep possible, you need to sleep in a room that promotes a calm and relaxing atmosphere. One way to do this is with the appropriate Feng Shui Bedroom colors.
Experiment with color and style, do not be afraid to combine a third color with gray and blue in the bedroom. This need not necessarily be white as both blue and gray can create a neutral and inviting setting which allows other bold hues to shine through. A touch of red or orange looks great in the coastal or nautical bedroom while a pop of fuchsia or pink can bring dazzle to the girls’ bedroom. Yellow is a great choice in bedrooms with light shades of gray and blue as it ushers in sun-kissed charm while brown can give the space a more masculine finish.
A blue bedroom feels far more gender-neutral (though it could be simply because of the way society has programmed us for years) and blue as a color is better at calming nerves and inducing sleep than pink. Pastel blues easily combine with lighter shades of gray and off-white giving you greater freedom when it comes to choosing the color scheme of the bedroom. If you are really in the mood to try out something unique, then a monochromatic bedroom filled with pastel blues or different shades of mint green is a fun project to try out. Of course, adding simpler pastel accents to your existing bedroom is a far easier affair. But it simply lacks the flamboyance of bedrooms draped in pastels.
