Once you have found a piece with a bit of character, purchase some thin lasso rope and use it to write your child is name in cursive on the sign. Be sure to use a glue that is appropriate for a proper bond between the rope and wood. Let your child create their own room accents with custom artwork. Help your child surf the internet for their favorite cowboy and western photos. Print them out on your home printer and then help your child frame the pictures in vintage or rustic picture frames. Another idea is to shop your local antique stores for cowboy posters or cowboy and western wall hangings.
Kids wallpaper borders come in a variety of designs and colors including everything from the Care Bears and Tonka Trucks to sports-themed wallpaper options. Look for a kids wallpaper border that matches your childrens bedding. Borders are a better option than wallpaper because they are easier and less expensive to replace once your child outgrows the design.
First, remove everything from the room and decide on wall and floor colors. The floor should be a very light color. White with just a hint of blue or brown will give the feeling of sand and surf. Use tiles, a good floor paint, light color wood or even a very light color, light weight carpet to cover the floor. As the décor begins to take shape add throw rugs to the floor space for added color.
You may choose to decorate with a simplistic elegance, but this elegance may come at a rather high price if you are not careful. It is best to set a budget for your decorating and then do your best to follow through with this budget. Even on a budget, imagine how stunning tit will be to walk into a room or a home that has been decorated with a heavy reliance upon color and texture. Whether you choose a bold color with cautious patterns or soft neutral tones with tempting textures you cannot wait to touch, you can create the room of your dreams with stylish bedroom decor.
