Golden hues will also be quite popular for 2018. Warm shades, including mustard yellow, brilliant marigold and sunny sunflower hues will all be making their way into the interior design world. Simple Geometric Shapes. While you likely cant remodel your bedrooms existing layout to reflect this trendy geometric pattern, there are plenty of ways to incorporate this trend into your space. Look for geometric patterns on mirrors, bedding and other basic accessories for your design. Mirrors of any style pair well with the black and white color palette, but will also pair well with any dramatic or subdued color palette, making the mirror a great accessory choice. Of course, the geometric trend doesnt just apply to mirrors. For all of your bedroom design updates, look for clean lines and basic geometric shaping.
Layout. First thing when starting with interior designing your bedroom is to prepare a layout for it. You need to consider where will the bed be placed, where the wardrobes will be, where will you keep the dresser, which is the best place for a TV etc. The layout, in return, will depend on the size and shape of the room, the location of doors and windows, any structural elements etc.
Storage: All bedroom design ideas have to cater for adequate storage space. Cupboards should be designed keeping in mind the variety of items which are going to be stored there - dresses, shoes, jewelry, hats. Depending on the size of the bedroom, the cupboards could be large walk-ins or have to be incorporated into the space available. Spaces under the cots could be used to create storage areas or shoe racks. Cupboards could have more shelves or drawers, depending on the requirements. The bedroom could have ceiling to floor cupboards on one wall to optimize use of the other walls.
Where to Start. The truth is, the jumping off point for creating a bedroom design can be anything. Some people prefer to start at the top and work their way to the bottom; while others work from the ground up. These are two easy methods, but they can quickly stop you dead in your tracks. Instead, find a particular item or object that youre really drawn to. One that speaks volumes about what youre looking to achieve in the space. It could be a duvet, a nightstand, a throw rug, wallpapering, wall art or even a bedside table lamp. Then, draw your inspiration from this. You can easily come up with entire nature-inspired bedroom designs using a single piece. Draw the color palette from your inspiration piece and go from there. Youll be surprised at how easy it is to create a nature inspired bedroom design once youre working from inspiration.
