Colors are divided into two categories in Feng Shui, Yin and Yang. Yin colors promote relaxation and healing while Yang colors focus on positive energy and interest. A combination of these is required to provide the best Feng Shui Bedroom colors for a good nights rest that is restorative as well. Most Feng Shui colors are meant to be used in moderation or they can cause a negative response rather than the positive response that you are hoping for when it comes to getting the right amount of rest. However, blues and greens are okay to use in large amounts because they do not elicit that negative response.
Using blue in your room, (blue is a Yin color), promotes a calm atmosphere. In addition, blue equates to peace, trust and is a healing color. You can combine blues and greens to create an even more calming room. Although green promotes energy, it also elicits calm. Using a strong blue color with small green stripes, for example, is an excellent choice for the wall color in your room.
