Storage - pieces such as the lingerie chests, blanket racks, vanity tables and the regular dresser and chest of drawers. There are sometimes seating such as a bed bench that allows you to store items such as bedding inside, so they serve two purposes. For displays - bedside tables, vanity tables and sometimes bed benches are all used to display things such as pictures, lamps, and other little trinkets. Seating - bedroom benches, lounges and sofas are used for seating when you would rather not sit on your bed, such as when reading a book or the newspaper or drinking some coffee that may spill.
Clothes Storage - dressers, chest of drawers, armoires and bed benches can all serve as places to store clothes. There are also beds nowadays that come with storage built in so there are drawers underneath the bed which can be used to store clothing or bedding or whatever you see it fit for. So you will see that bedroom furniture has evolved over the years and are now multifunctional and have new purposes that were not around a couple years back. They provide comfort and functionality combined, killing two birds with one stone.
